Get Your Rain Boots!

As we at HouserShoes.com have mentioned before, rain boots seem to be one of the hot trends right now.  Prints, colors, animal designs, western style, it doesn’t matter.  We can’t keep them on our shelves.

Which is why I’m writing today.  We’ve recently received a new shipment of all kinds of rain boots in.  So if you want some new zebra print boots (which seem to sell out first!) get them while we still have some around.

If you’ve already purchased some boots, let us know how you like them and where your wearing them.  We’d love some stories to share at the office!

Sketchers Shape-ups

One of the new hot shoes this season is the Sketchers Shape-ups.  These shoes promise to help tone muscles and improve your posture.

After reading a bit about them and watching our sales, they must be doing something right.  These shoes are great for walking, even if you are not interested in the fitness claims.  People with foot problems (such as high arches) have reported that they are the only shoes that fit comfortably for walking.  And personally, I think they look cool.  Always a plus with footwear!

So, if you’re interested in walking or fitness shoes, the Shape-ups seem like a great buy.  Now if it only would get warm enough to walk outside again, it’d be perfect.

The Hot Shoe Going Into 2010

Every year we try to guess what will be the next hot shoe. At Christmas time UGG’s are always popular. This year Dansko, Clarks of England and Sperry Top-Sider were very hot with Dansko winning out.

Now as we transition into the New Year, 2010, the one style that is taking off like a space shuttle is the rain boot. More so, these designer rain boots. It must be all the rain and wet weather that we have got over the last few months. It looks like there’s no end in sight for either, the wet weather or the popularity of these rain boots.

The styles are fairly simple; we have your basic flat foot and the western, with color choices that are fit for any fashion show in New York or Paris.

As demand drives sales, our buyers have been out gathering more and more. Last I heard we have some 20 new patterns due in our warehouses soon.
